What’s New in FirstHive

Twenty-plus improvements across messaging, reporting, data exports, journeys, and Eddie - FirstHive’s AI Orchestrator; shipped over three sprints, alongside a substantial round of platform security and reliability work.

New in messaging

WhatsApp quick reply tracking WhatsApp campaigns now capture and report on quick-reply button taps, so you can see exactly which reply options customers choose and feed that engagement signal straight back into your journeys and segments.

Dynamic, personalized email attachments Email campaigns can now attach a different file to each recipient — a personalized statement, invoice, or offer — generated and delivered automatically at send time across your campaign and messaging pipeline, with no manual file matching required. A new file manager makes it easy to upload and organize the attachment folders behind these sends, rather than handling files one at a time.

CC/BCC controls for outbound email Admins can now set default and mandatory CC/BCC addresses at the account level, ensuring compliance, deliverability, or audit mailboxes are always copied on outbound campaigns without depending on individual campaign setup.

Broader SMS and WhatsApp delivery coverage Messaging infrastructure was extended and hardened this cycle: WhatsApp carousel template campaigns are now supported end-to-end, SMS delivery was migrated to an encrypted gateway for stronger data protection, and web push notifications gained native support — widening the channels available for your campaigns.

New in reporting

Audience Bridge report A new report gives a consolidated view of audience bridge activity — matched audience counts, push history, and a summary table — with the ability to filter results down to specific social media channels.

Service Notification report Track the volume, delivery, and engagement of transactional and service notifications — OTPs, account alerts, and similar messages — with a summary view, daily trendline, and dedicated engagement metrics that make it easy to spot delivery issues or unusual spikes at a glance.

Customer interaction timeline The customer profile now includes a chronological activity log of every interaction — campaigns, messages, and events — giving your team a single, scrollable view of a customer’s full engagement history without leaving the profile.

Communication feed A new communication feed brings recent customer-facing communications together in one place, making it faster to review what’s been sent and when.

Campaign & Journey performance reports New summary and individual-level reports give a clear read on how campaigns and journeys are performing. Reports now support up to three configurable conversion goals per campaign or journey, and results can be exported to CSV or Excel with your choice of columns.

Test & Control groups for campaigns Campaigns can now be launched with an ad hoc control (holdout) group, so you can measure true incremental impact rather than just raw response. FirstHive calculates lift and uplift automatically, giving you a clear, statistically grounded read on what a campaign actually added.

Usage & billing visibility New Licence & Billing reports give admins clear visibility into consumption against your plan — including event usage, AI token usage, and other consumable resources — so there are no surprises at renewal time.

New in data & exports

Configurable export formats and file naming Data exports now support both CSV and Parquet formats with customizable, templated file names — for one-off exports as well as scheduled egress jobs — so downstream systems can consume files in the format and naming convention they expect.

Export preview Preview the contents of an export before it runs, so you can confirm fields, formatting, and record counts are correct before committing to a full data pull.

AI-generated segments in exports Segments created with AI-assisted segment generation can now be included directly in data exports, closing the loop between AI-powered audience discovery and downstream activation.

Richer SFTP audience push Audience pushes delivered via SFTP now include additional customer attributes — city, state, PIN code, and name (with automatic name derivation where it’s missing) — so downstream systems receive a more complete record with every push.

New in journeys & segments

Event-based segmentation for web push Build segments for the web push channel that trigger off customer events in real time, extending FirstHive’s event-based segmentation to a channel that previously supported only static criteria.

Quick view for journeys and nodes Journey builders can now open a quick-view panel for any journey or node directly from the canvas, surfacing key details without navigating away to a separate screen.

Web push as a journey channel Journeys can now trigger web push campaigns as a step, bringing web push in line with email, SMS, and WhatsApp as a fully orchestrated journey channel.

Multiple entry points and multi-event wait conditions Journeys can now be configured with multiple entry nodes and wait steps that listen for more than one event condition at once, making it possible to model more realistic, branching customer paths without duplicating journeys.

New with Eddie

Meet Eddie FirstHive’s AI Orchestrator now goes by name: what was labeled generically as “AI” across the product is now Eddie. Along with the new identity, Eddie can now render visual charts directly inside conversational responses, so you can go from a question to a chart without leaving the chat.

Behind the scenes

Alongside these customer-facing features, the FirstHive engineering team shipped a substantial set of platform improvements across these three sprints:

- Data encryption at rest extended across all data stores in production, with TLS-secured Kafka messaging. - Application security testing hardened end-to-end: SAST/DAST and secrets scanning are now integrated into every release, with Critical/High SAST gating, a defined SCA remediation SLA, and container image scanning added on top. - TLS configuration upgrades, SSL certificate renewal, and HTTPS authentication hardening completed across core infrastructure, alongside new IP allow/deny list controls on the API gateway — including webhook whitelisting and trusted-proxy support — for tighter inbound security. - A new SMS vendor gateway added for improved delivery routing and failover resilience. - Large exports to S3 (over 5GB) now upload reliably, and report timezone handling was corrected for accounts operating outside UTC. - Machine learning models underpinning FirstHive’s predictive and AI capabilities are now live across all customer accounts. - 38 reliability, performance, and data-accuracy fixes resolved across reporting, segmentation, exports, campaign delivery, datalist import, and journey builder validation, alongside general UI polish.
